NEW PROJECT
Technical Consultant to the General Secretariat for Civil Protection (Greece) for the design of the Special Programme of the Ministry of Citizen Protection in the framework of the 1st programming period of the National Development Programme 2021-2025, to deal with the prevention of impacts on infrastructure from natural disasters
Contracting Authority: General Secretariat for Civil Protection (Greece)
The project includes the following:
- Set up of a database with the categorization of prevention-restoration of natural disasters relevant projects financed by the national strand of the Public Investments Programme.
- Creation of a database with the categorization of the prevention-restoration of natural disasters relevant projects financed by the co-financed strand of the Public Investments Programme.
- Provision of assistance to the staff of the General Secretariat for Civil Protection for the design of the Special Development Programme.
- Provision of assistance to the staff of the General Secretariat for Civil Protection in the context of their duties resulting from their participation in the Inter-Ministerial planning team for the preparation of the Special Programme of the Ministry of Citizen Protection to deal with the prevention of impacts on infrastructure from natural disasters and specially:
- Identification of the intervention area, objectives and priorities in relation to the existing needs and time schedule of the Programme.
- Identification and allocation to the budget priorities corresponding to the Programme.
- Design of the management system and proposals for the Programme’s Managing Authority.

Facilitating and fostering the design and implementation of EUSAIR flagship actions and projects in the Adriatic – Ionian Macro-region (IDEAL EUSAIR)

The IDEAL EUSAIR study is being conducted in the framework of the project “Monitoring and Evaluation Consultant of the Adriatic-Ionian Macro-regional Strategy (EUSAIR)” which was assigned, after an international tender, to the consortium comprising LKN ANALYSIS Ltd. and the University of the Aegean. The overall objective of the study is to identify important information gaps, needs and opportunities to facilitate and foster the design and implementation of EUSAIR Flagship actions and projects in the Adriatic – Ionian macro-region relevant to Pillar 1 “Blue Growth”. The specific objectives include: · To assist the EU MS mandated institutions in the design of the new programming period 2021-2027 by adopting proposals, ideas and proposed projects aligned to meet the flagship priorities and overall objectives of Pillar 1. · To assist the EUSAIR MS to fine-tune actions and to specify the practical procedures to design, launch and activate projects that will safeguard the implementation of Pillar 1 flagships. · To assist the macro-region MS to consider streamlining their national Pillar 1 EUSAIR strategy in order to render it more specific to their priorities, needs and vision. |
Organisation of thematic workshops LKN ANALYSIS LTD. and the University of the Aegean, under the auspices of the EUSAIR Facility Point Greece (Ministry of Development and Investments) organized, during the period January – February 2021, four virtual thematic workshops for Pillar 1 “Blue Growth” in the context of the project “Monitoring and Evaluation Consultant of the Adriatic-Ionian Macro-regional Strategy (EUSAIR) “. More specifically: – Maritime and Marine Governance and Services (19/1/2021) – Aquaculture (27/1/2021) – Blue Technologies (3/2/2021), and – Fisheries (15/2/2021). The workshops were attended by participants from the EUSAIR member states, representing Universities, Research and Technology Institutes, Public Authorities (National and Regional), Private Enterprises, Non-Governmental Organisations, Fisheries Local Action Groups, the European Commission (DG MARE), the Conference of the Peripheral Maritime Regions (CPMR), the Thematic Steering Group/Pillar 1 Coordinator (and Deputy Pillar Coordinator), the EUSAIR Facility Point Greece Project Partner Coordinator and team members from the Monitoring and Evaluation Consultant of the Adriatic-Ionian Macro-regional Strategy. In each workshop, the results of the survey carried out in the framework of the ongoing Pillar 1-related study (“Ideal EUSAIR”) were presented, in order to determine the priorities for the new programming period and to validate the SWOT analysis in the EUSAIR area. The participants had the opportunity to discuss and briefly present project ideas for the Adriatic – Ionian macro-region on the above topics that can be implemented in the 2021-2027 period by various stakeholders. |

The company’s staff attended the 1st online Technical Meeting for the design of the Operational Programmes 2021-2027, which was organised by the Special Service for Strategy, Planning and Evaluation (Ministry of Development and Investments) on 22/01/2021. At the meeting the Services of the National Coordination Authority presented the main directions for the design of the new programming period, as they appear after the completion of the European Regulations and in the context of the wider European and national policies and the current economic and social situation.
